Exploring Life as a Pilgrimage

Pilgrims are not wanderers, vagrants, or aimless travellers; pilgrims have a set destination, though the roads may be many and varied in getting to the destination. For Ignatius, the spiritual life is a true pilgrimage and requires not a map but a "way of proceeding" to get to the destination.” David Fleming SJ

This Retreat will explore aspects of the pilgrim life using the tools of Ignatian Spirituality. These will include:

The practice of Awareness,

Ignatian Prayer
-
The Art of Discernment.
Participants will learn about the pilgrim journey of St Ignatius and be given the opportunity to reflect on their own lives in the light of Ignatius’ story.

This Retreat will:

Give you the personal time and space to stop, rest and reflect.

Use small group process giving you time to both share your experience and listen to the experience of others.

Give you personal time to reflect on your life with God and others.

Be a communal experience with time to caht and relax over meals.
An Ignatian Retreat offers a unique opportunity to deepen your experience of the Ignatian Charism and way of proceeding that is the foundation of our work with students, colleagues and parents. The Retreat experience both nourishes and supports us as we engage in the mission of the College. This Staff Retreat would suit anyone seeking to learn more about, and or deepen, their experience of Ignatian Spirituality and the tools it offers to encounter God in our everyday lives.

Where: Jesuit Villa House, 58 Burke Parade, Gerroa
Cost: The College covers your accommodation & meals. (except Sat evening at a local restaurant).
