Heart of Creation

A Time to be still, Listen & Wonder...

“All around us, to right and left, in front and behind, above and below, we have only to go a little beyond the frontier of sensible appearances in order to see the divine welling up and showing through”.

Pierre Teilhard De Chardin, The Divine Milieu

Take some time to nourish and revitalize yourself amidst the beauty of creation staying just steps away from Seven Mile Beach and amidst the beautiful surrounds of Gerroa.

The ‘Heart of Creation’ Retreat will explore the Ignatian understanding of Creation which sees the Divine at the centre of all things, always giving and receiving, creating and sustaining in every moment of all life.

Using imagery, music, story and creative expression, participants will be given time to reflect and consider this vision. This will include drawing on the work of Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr Baumann, renowned Australian Artist, tribal elder, educator and Aboriginal mystic.

During the weekend there will be time to walk on the beach, relax, sit quietly, listen, and reflect on your journey with God and share with others.

The Jesuit Villa House...

Is located at Gerroa on the Illawarra Coast just south of Kiama and is approximately 2 hours from Sydney CBD. Situated only metres from the beach, the Jesuit Villa House, has expansive views overlooking Seven Mile Beach and the National Park. The sheer beauty of the surroundings and ever changing nature of the beachscape makes this an ideal location to take time out to relax and reflect.
