Many people in contemporary times are seeking an authentic way to discover their life’s purpose, what they really want or desire and the experience of the sacred in their lives. In doing so, this sharing or conversation has a spiritual element to it.
In the Irish tradition, the kind of person one would share this experience of life with was called an Annam Cara, which means in the Gaelic, 'Soul Friend.' Every person had a soul friend for life, someone who would journey with that person for the entirety of life.
